Funded by Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading, the Kuwait Arab Fund, and the Direct Aid Society, Hadhramaut Governor inaugurates the diagnostic equipment unit for cancer patients and honors the project's funding agencies.

The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, inaugurated the work of the diagnostic devices unit at the Hadhramaut University Center for Family Medicine to support health services for cancer patients and various disease groups. At the inauguration, which was attended by Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, Dr. Walid Al-Batati, Executive Director of the Hadhramaut Foundation for Cancer Control, the project’s implementing body, indicated that the CT scan device represents a qualitative leap as it is the most modern in Hadhramaut for accurately diagnosing cancer, in addition to the mammogram device for early detection of breast cancer with modern technologies. The project aims to detect diseases early and reduce the burden on patients, in addition to providing accurate diagnostic services and improving the quality of health care. In his speech at the opening ceremony following the project inauguration, the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout bin Madi, praised the generous support of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in the State of Kuwait, and the Direct Aid Society in financing the diagnostic devices unit, which aims to strengthen and support the health sector in Hadhramaut and the country and raise the quality of health services. After that, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, was honored. A commemorative shield was presented to the Al Amoudi Group for its contribution to financing the project.

The inauguration was attended by the general directors of the ministries’ offices, Dr. Abdul Qader Bayazid, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hadhramout Cancer Control Foundation, Dr. Salem Bamasoud, Vice President of Hadhramout University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Dr. Hussein Al Amoudi, Director of Public Relations and Media at Al Amoudi Contracting and Trading Group.
