The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, inspected today in Mukalla the works of pouring the retaining walls and piling works for the pedestrian bridge in the second phase of the Khor Mukalla project. The Governor, along with the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the Governorate, Saleh Abboud Al-Omqi, learned from the General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trade Ltd., Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, the Director-General of the Public Works and Roads Office, Engineer Saleh Al-Omari, and the project consultants about the ongoing excavation works for the water channel with a length of 850 meters, a total area of ​​47,150 square meters, and a width varying between 60 and 50 meters. The Governor was briefed on the progress of work in constructing two branched water channels, the first connected to the first phase and the other connected to the Al-Kuttab Bridge area. The concrete pouring of the canal walls was carried out with an area of ​​2,200 square meters, and the implementation of the stone walls of about 1,300 square meters began, as well as the implementation of the concrete walls of the canal began. The project consists of two bridges: the first is the Chinese Bridge with a length of 165 meters and a width of 25 meters, and the other is the Al-Munawara Bridge with a length of 70 meters and a width of 25 meters. The project includes Establishing parking spaces and recreation areas.

The visit was attended by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Najjar, Project Manager, and the engineering, administrative, and technical staff of the Khor Al-Mukalla Project, Phase II.
