This morning, Tuesday, the Director General of the Projects Department at the Hadhramaut Governorate Diwan, Eng. Abu Bakr Mahmoud Bajaber, accompanied by the General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Ltd., Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, reviewed the commencement of work on the second phase of the Khor Al-Mukalla project, which is being implemented by the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Ltd. At the beginning of the visit, the Director General of the Projects Department at the Hadhramaut Governorate Diwan, Eng. Abu Bakr Bajaber, conveyed the interest of the local authority, represented by the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhot Mubarak bin Madi, in the project, given its importance in bringing about a developmental and tourism shift in Hadhramaut. It will contribute to highlighting the city of Mukalla, adopting new road routes to alleviate congestion, and working in accordance with approved technical studies.

Following the visit, a meeting was held to discuss the project timeline and implementation mechanism. Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, the General Manager of the Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting, confirmed that the group’s crews have commenced work at a rapid pace since the first moment they received the project. For his part, the site engineer at the project’s consulting office, Eng. Hisham Abdul Raziq, gave a detailed explanation of the project’s progress. The visit was attended by the Deputy Director of the Public Works and Roads Office in Hadhramaut Coast, Engineer Naif bin Shamlan; the Director of the Projects Department at the Ministry of Public Works and Roads Office, Engineer Omar Al-Bayti; a number of engineers from the governorate’s Projects Department; the Office of the Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Technical Affairs; the Ministry of Works and Roads Office in Hadhramaut Coast; and the management and engineers of the Khor Al-Mukalla Project, Phase II.
