On Monday morning, November 13, 2023, the interim capital, Aden, signed an agreement to implement the Gharir Bridge project in Mukalla. The project, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, is part of a grant to contribute to relief and reconstruction efforts in Hadhramaut Governorate. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Works and Roads, Eng. Salem Al-Harizi; the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhot Mubarak bin Madi; Sheikh Abdulqader Saeed Al-Amoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Amoudi Group; and Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Group. During the signing ceremony, the Minister of Public Works and Roads highlighted the importance of these development projects, emphasizing the political leadership and the ministry’s commitment to providing support to the roads and bridges sectors. For his part, Sheikh Abdulqader Al-Amoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, congratulated the signing of the Gharir Bridge project agreement, emphasizing that the Group, with all its administrative, engineering, and technical staff, is fully prepared to implement development projects that will contribute to the establishment of the nation’s infrastructure. The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Roads, Eng. Ahmed Thabet, a number of undersecretaries, representatives of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, and the Director General of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges in Hadhramaut, Eng. Taha Bahidra.
