The heads and representatives of the popular sports teams in the Old City of Mukalla neighborhoods presented shields of thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the Al-Amoudi Yemeni Contracting and Trading Group Limited, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Abdul Qader Saeed Al-Amoudi, and the General Manager, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi. The group appreciated the support and efforts provided by Al-Amoudi Group to the sports teams in the Old City of Mukalla neighborhoods, particularly by providing the opportunity for the teams to practice all sports activities and events on its land in Mukalla. This facility was transformed into a stadium where matches and sporting events could be held without any obstacles or difficulties, and it also facilitated the smooth running of any sporting event, providing support and financial contributions.

During the meeting, the heads and representatives of the teams in the Old City of Mukalla neighborhoods expressed their happiness with the Al-Amoudi Sports Fields Project, for which the group has begun laying the foundations. The Al-Amoudi Group will build the project on its land, which the group has used and prepared as a dirt field for more than 15 years. The project is used for training and matches, in addition to hosting various student activities from time to time.

The heads and representatives of the grassroots teams also renewed their support and assistance to the Al Amoudi Group in establishing the grass fields project, which will play a significant role in preserving youth and keeping them busy in their free time, honing their talents and building their bodies physically.

For his part, Sheikh Abdul Qader Saeed Al Amoudi, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, thanked the heads and representatives of the sports teams in the Old City neighborhoods of Mukalla for their gesture of loyalty, emphasizing that the commercial grass fields project will bring about a qualitative shift in the youth and sports sector.

For his part, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al Amoudi, General Manager of the Al Amoudi Group, stated that establishing the commercial grass fields project in Mukalla will have a tangible impact on the sports community, especially since the sports teams in the Old City neighborhoods of Mukalla, in particular, lack a sports incubator and a facility where they can conduct their activities.

Professor Shafiq added that a meeting took place in the middle of last week between the Governor of Hadhramaut, Professor Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, Sheikh Abdul Qader Saeed Al Amoudi, in the capital, Aden, during which the project’s working mechanism was discussed, as well as the agreement and coordination between the local authority and the Group, to preserve the rights of the Group and the public interest in the Governorate.
