The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhot Mubarak bin Madi, inspected the second phase of the Khor Al-Mukalla project after containing the effects of the roaring low pressure system that hit the city of Mukalla last month. This came during an inspection visit to the project this morning, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 AD, where the governor toured the work sites accompanied by Sheikh Abdul Qader Saeed Al-Amoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, and Engineer Hisham Muhammad Ibrahim, the site engineer at the project’s consulting office. The Governor of Hadhramaut expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the project, saying: Despite its incompleteness, it has proven its success and importance due to its containment of huge amounts of heavy rains and torrents that spared the city of Mukalla the damages that occurred in it previously before the project was implemented. The Governor bin Madi also confirmed the safety of the construction work that was previously implemented and that it was not affected by any damage due to the low pressure system, reviewing the progress of the work in progress in the project and the return of work to its previous nature and vitality, praising the efforts made by the crews of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, which It has proven its success and high merit, emphasizing the need to complete the project as quickly as possible. He affirmed the support of the local authority and all government sectors for this vital and important project.

The visit was attended by Engineer Saleh Al-Omari, Director General of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads Office in the Hadhramaut Coast, Engineer Sadiq Yawz, Project Manager at Al-Amoudi Group, and leaders of the Khor Al-Mukalla Phase II Project.
