The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhot Mubarak bin Madi, inspected this morning, Sunday, February 23, 2025, the construction work of the Gharir Bridge project, which is being implemented by the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trade Limited, with funding from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in the State of Kuwait and under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads, the Internationally Funded Projects Implementation Unit. The Governor bin Madi learned from the General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trade Limited, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, about the project’s completion rate, which exceeded 50%. The project consists of 4 openings, each 25 meters long, implemented using the pre-casting system for the first time in Yemen. The pile work exceeded 77%, the foundation casting work 88%, and the columns and crowns work 100%. The General Manager of the Al-Amoudi Group also reviewed the difficulties and obstacles that faced the project since the start of work on it. For his part, the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhot bin Madi, praised the completed work and the efforts made by the engineering, technical and administrative crews of the Al-Amoudi Group, noting that the project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Hadhramaut, which It will represent a qualitative leap for the country’s bridge sector.

He was accompanied on the visit by the Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Barziq; the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading, Sheikh Abdul Qader Saeed Al-Amoudi; the Director General of the Public Works and Roads Office in Hadhramaut Coast, Eng. Saleh Al-Amri; the engineers from the project’s consulting office, Newtech Geotech; and the management and engineers of the Gharir Bridge Project.
