This morning, the Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate and Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, signed an agreement to build and construct the Nubian Suspension Bridge in the Hajar District, west of Mukalla. The agreement, in the presence of the First Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut, Sheikh Amr bin Habrish Al-Ali, will be funded by the governorate’s local authority at a total cost of $1.7 million and implemented by the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited. Sheikh Abdulqader Saeed Al-Amoudi, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, explained that the project includes the construction of a 126-meter-long suspension bridge with high technical specifications over a period of one and a half years.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Director of the Projects Unit in Hadhramaut, Dr. Zakaria Bakir, and the Director-General of the Hajar District, Attorney Anwar Al-Shazly.
