Hadhramaut Governorate's Undersecretary for Technical Affairs inspects preparations for the start of work at the Chinese Bridge site in the second phase of the Khor Al-Mukalla project.

The Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Saeed Barzeeq, and the Director General of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads Office, Eng. Saleh Faiz Al-Omari, inspected the ongoing arrangements and preparations for the removal of the Chinese Bridge and the reconstruction of a new one. They were received by Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Yemeni Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading Limited. Barzeeq confirmed that the new bridge, which replaces the Chinese Bridge, will be 23 meters wide and include two lanes, each with a capacity for three vehicles. He also noted the construction of two tunnels for vehicle passage under the bridge. He noted that the overall completion rate of the project has reached 50%. He reviewed the construction work underway on the waterway, pedestrian and vehicle roads, pedestrian bridges, and the Al-Munawara Bridge, which has exceeded 60% completion despite the technical obstacles and difficulties faced by the work crews at the Al-Munawara Bridge site. For his part, the Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Barzeeq, praised the progress of the project, affirming the local authorities’ support for the project as one of the largest tourism projects in the country. They were accompanied on the visit by Eng. Fawzy Al-Maghribi, Project Manager at the Egyptian Engineering Consulting Office, Eng. Sadiq Yawz, Project Manager at Al-Amoudi Group, and Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Najjar, Project Manager of Khor Al-Mukalla Phase II at Al-Amoudi Group.
