An agreement was signed today in Mukalla for the first phase of the rehabilitation and maintenance of Khor Al-Mukalla, funded by the governorate’s local authority.

The agreement, sponsored by Hadhramaut Governor Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, was signed on behalf of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund by its Executive Director, Engineer Fahmi bin Shabraq, and on behalf of the implementing company, Al-Amoudi Yemeni Contracting and Trading Group Ltd., by its General Manager, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi. The agreement stipulates the commencement of maintenance and rehabilitation work on Khor Al-Mukalla Tourist Area, in accordance with technical requirements and specifications.

The Hadhramaut Governor emphasized the need to begin the delayed maintenance work to preserve this important tourist attraction, given its importance in highlighting the city of Mukalla and presenting it in an attractive and aesthetic manner.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the Governor’s Deputy for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Basarih, the Assistant Deputy Governor, Fahmi Badawi, and the Director General of the Public Works and Roads Office, Engineer Saleh Al-Omari.
