The General Manager of Al-Amoudi Group and the Fisheries Projects Manager of the United Nations Development Programme were briefed on the ongoing preparations for marine dredging work for the Aden Fish Dockyard project

The General Manager of Al-Amoudi Yemeni Contracting and Trading Group Limited, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, and the Fisheries Projects Manager for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ms. Karina Shibalova, inspected the field preparations for the rehabilitation project of the fish landing center dock (dockyard) in Aden Governorate. The project is being implemented by Al-Amoudi Contracting and Trading Group and funded by the German government through the UNDP. During the inspection visit, Engineer Sadiq Yafouz, Projects Manager at Al-Amoudi Contracting and Trading Group, explained that the project’s engineering, administrative, and technical teams are working diligently to complete the technical preparations according to the highest international standards. He highlighted the key preparations underway for commencing marine dredging operations using a marine dredger. For his part, Mr. Shafiq Al-Amoudi, General Manager of Al-Amoudi Group, affirmed that the rehabilitation of the fish dockyard project will represent a significant addition and a qualitative leap for the fisheries sector in Aden Governorate in particular and Yemen in general. He also reviewed the capabilities and equipment procured for the project, which are owned and valued by Al-Amoudi Yemeni Contracting and Trading Group Limited.

The visit was attended by the engineering and administrative staff of the project from Al-Amoudi Group for Contracting and Trading and the engineers of the consulting office.
