The Governor of Hadramawt, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madhi, inspected the Al-Manoura Bridge project in Al-Mukalla today. This bridge is a significant and pivotal addition to the second phase of the Al-Mukalla Corniche tourism project, which is progressing rapidly. The Al-Manoura Bridge is a vital project for the city, consisting of three spans, each 50 meters long, with a total length of 150 meters including entrances and exits. It was constructed on a pile foundation with 127 piles, each approximately 18 meters long. The bridge has a total width of 24.60 meters and includes two traffic lanes, a central median, and pedestrian walkways at the sides. The bridge utilizes a precast concrete girder system, combining cast-in-place concrete and precast concrete elements to achieve structural efficiency and speed of construction. The first and third spans are cast-in-place, while the second (middle) span consists of 10 precast concrete girders that were lifted and secured using a lifting system. Special cranes were used in the construction of the bridge, which was built according to the latest engineering specifications and standards to ensure quality and durability. During the inauguration, Governor Bin Madhi, along with the Deputy Governor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Basrih, and the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, Engineer Amin Barziq, listened to a detailed explanation from Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Al-Amoudi Yemeni Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, and the consulting engineers about the stages of completion of the Al-Manoura Bridge project and the progress of work on the second phase of the Khor Al-Mukalla project. The Governor directed the installation of a traffic signal pole at the Al-Manoura Bridge to regulate traffic flow and enhance road safety.

He affirmed that this project embodies the local authority’s vision for developing Hadramawt’s capital and reflects the efforts of the engineering, technical, and administrative teams of the Al-Amoudi Yemeni Group for Contracting and Trade Limited, the project’s implementer. This comprehensive development vision aims to improve the city, its infrastructure, and its tourism. He commended the level of progress and capabilities unique to the Al-Amoudi Group. The Governor also inspected the ongoing work on the second phase of the Khor Al-Mukalla project, where construction continues at several sites. The work also includes preparing and laying the base course layers for the new streets, particularly the new street near Al-Shaab Club Stadium and behind “Al-Aws Mega Supermarket,” in preparation for subsequent asphalt paving. Furthermore, the work includes completing road protection measures at the entrances to the Khor channel from the Al-Ghalila side and finishing the construction of the central support dome and canopy for the pedestrian bridges.
