Badawi: The project will contribute to improving the sports sector and revitalizing the movement, fulfilling the aspirations of young people and developing their capabilities.

Masjidi: The project will advance the development of the technical aspect of football, reduce sports injuries, and ensure that young people achieve their aspirations.

Al-Amoudi: We will announce other projects and the launch of the Al-Amoudi Academy for training and qualifying young people in football.

The Assistant Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Youth Affairs, Fahmi Awad Badawi, along with Captain Hassan Saleh Masjedi, Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office in the Coast, inaugurated the Al-Amoudi Sports Fields Project in Mukalla last Friday evening.

During the opening ceremony, attended by Brigadier General Abdullah Salem Bayashut, Director General of the Mukalla City Directorate; Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of the Al-Amoudi Yemeni Group for Contracting and Trading Limited; Mr. Abdullah Al-Saadi, President of the Hadhramaut Coast Football Association; Mr. Ibrahim Bahashwan, President of the Hadhramaut Coast Basketball Association; and Fadi Salem Haqan, President of the Hadhramaut Coast Sports Media Association. At the beginning of his speech, Undersecretary Badawi conveyed the greetings and blessings of the local authorities in Hadhramaut Governorate, represented by Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, on the opening of this inspiring sports project, which is considered one of the most vital projects in the youth and sports sector. He highlighted the importance of the project for the youth, who are the future hope of Hadhramaut and the nation. He noted that it will contribute to improving the sports situation and revitalizing the movement, fulfilling the aspirations of young people and developing their capabilities. He praised the interventions of the Al-Amoudi Group. For contracting in all vital sectors, most notably Khor Al-Mukalla, through which the group has created a bright and honorable image of the Hadhramaut capital, both land and people. He praised the efforts of the relevant executive offices, which played a role in overcoming difficulties to complete this vital project.

Under the directives of Governor Bin Madi, who places great importance on the youth sector, Mr. Hassan Saleh Masjedi, Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office in the Hadhramaut Coast, then delivered a speech in which he said, “On my own behalf and on behalf of youth, athletes, sports federations and clubs, as well as sports figures and cadres, we express our happiness to attend the opening ceremony of Al-Amoudi Stadiums, this strategic youth sports project that serves sports and contributes significantly to developing the technical aspect of football, reduces sports injuries, and enables young people to fulfill their desires and interests.” He pointed out that the project falls within the interests of the local authority, represented by Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate, in the private sector, considering it achieves fundamental integration in all aspects of life.

He emphasized the Governor’s invitation to all businessmen and investors to roll up their sleeves for Hadhramaut and its distinction through these vital sports projects, especially since Hadhramaut enjoys security and safety, thanks to God’s grace and the efforts of our Hadrami elite.

He reiterated his congratulations to this project, as long as we have confidence in its goals and objectives.

Afterwards, Mr. Shafiq Hussein Al-Amoudi, General Manager of Al-Amoudi Yemeni Group for Contracting and Trading Limited, delivered a heartwarming speech in which he welcomed the attendees, both at the official and youth levels. He stated, “We always stand with and support our youth. We have allowed them to practice their sports activities for nearly 15 years. With the advent of grass fields, we must keep pace with development.” In his speech, he revealed the group’s plans to implement other projects that will complement this sports project, including the establishment of the Al-Amoudi Academy for the training and qualification of youth, in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office and relevant authorities. He added that the leadership of the Al-Amoudi Trading Group’s Board of Directors stands side by side with the people of Mukalla in particular and Hadhramaut in general, in providing what it can to this Hadrami land in various vital areas.

The opening ceremony included segments of solidarity with the Palestinian people in light of the attacks they are subjected to by the Zionist occupation in the Gaza Strip. This was followed by an exhibition match featuring the stars of the beautiful football era in Hadhramaut, who excelled in presenting skills, touches and football moves that were enjoyed by the sports fans in attendance.
